Doug Munro is all for the outdoors. His father had great plans for him - be a police officer just like him and his father before him - but Doug thought differently. Doug needs to roam and a difference of opinion finally drove a wedge between father and son. His younger brother Donnie tried to fill his shoes, but even Donnie finally had to admit the police was not his cup of tea. Doug does not abhor everything to do with the police force however, as one of his climbing friends is Fitch, a DS from Glasgow.
