Lagavulin

Pronounced "LAH-gu-voo-lin"

Lagavulin is one of three distilleries located on the south-eastern side of Islay; Ardbeg and Laphroaig are the other two. Peat is their main characteristic.

With its dark gold colour and peaty fragrance this is a whisky suitable for every occasion, for dark winter evenings as well as festive occasions.
It's rich, it's deep, it's warm, has a full body and leaves a pleasantly long finish.

I remember it had a more medicinal taste and was less round. Apart from that I can't find my notes anymore, so I'll leave it to those who do remember.
