Bunnahabhain

Pronounced "Boo-nu-HA-vun"

Ah, my first love among whiskies. A lot less peated than its neighbours, but it's superb all the same.

Golden colour.
Add a bit water and smell a warm and sweet aroma with hints of vanilla.
Its soft and ionized body gently fills your palate and leaves a pleasant and gently fading taste.

Never fails. A classic.

I do not know why, but I cannot find any notes on this one. None whatsoever. It exists. I drank it at home... at some point.

For some stupid reason I don't have my notes anymore, but I remember it was robuster than the 12-year-old. That is probably because Toiteach stands for "smoky". So this is a peaty Bunnahabhain, but nothing like an Ardbeg.
I remember I finished this bottle faster than usual. It was VERY good.

Deep colour.
Sweet fragrance with hints of vanilla.
At first it is pleasantly sharp, yet it has a full body and warm taste but is not aggressive.
It leaves a taste of almonds.
