My Scotland
language

Scotland, fertile ground for writing, wandering and dreaming

Scotland is as multi-faceted as it has lochs, firths, glens and bens. It is steeped in history, has an incredibly rich culture, produces one of the most famous drinks in the world and the land itself draws people from all over the planet to gaze at its scenery.
But my Scotland is not necessarily your Scotland (I strongly suspect so). What one might find essential, might be trivial to another.

So this is about my Scotland: what makes me tick.

I have an inexplicable bond with Clan Gregor (if you want to know why this website features a pine on every page, you might like to read up on the MacGregors).
Did you know contains all sorts of information on places and people I like.
Literature and History lists a series of books I've read over the years.
My Music gives you an idea of what music I have in my library (Amy MacDonald is not the only Scottish musician).
For all those who love stories, fantastic stories about mythical creatures wee and grand, there's Mythical Scotland.
Last but not least, Whisky. Don't expect a lecture on how whisky is distilled, let alone a bible ordering you what to like. Just some notes on what I enjoy...
